Huel Daily Greens Review: My Experience After 3 Years

I started using Huel Daily Greens in 2023 while living in Germany, before it was even available there. Three years later, it is still part of our routine.

How Daily Greens ended up traveling from the U.S. to Germany in a suitcase

I first heard about Huel Daily Greens in 2023 while living in Germany. At the time, it was mainly available in the U.S. and UK, and I couldn’t buy it locally.

My husband was working for a U.S. company. Whenever he traveled, he brought bags back to Germany for me in his luggage.

By the time Huel started selling Daily Greens in Germany, I was already a regular user. Today, my husband takes it regularly too. It has become part of both of our routines.

What is Huel Daily Greens?

Huel Daily Greens is a powdered dietary supplement, not a meal replacement. Huel’s current U.S. information lists 91 vitamins, minerals and other ingredients, including greens and superfoods, an adaptogen blend, a mushroom blend and probiotics. Its formula includes 27 essential vitamins and minerals. [1] [2]

What I’ve noticed

  • More consistent energy throughout the day.
  • Comfortable, regular digestion.
  • Much less bloating.
  • No constipation when I use it consistently.
  • My husband now includes it in his routine too.

These are my personal experiences, not guaranteed outcomes or proof that Daily Greens caused the changes. Food, activity, sleep and other habits also matter. Individual experiences vary.

Original vs. Watermelon

We have tried both. This is about our taste preference, not different health benefits.

Original

The flavor we prefer and continue buying.

Watermelon

We tried it and liked it, but Original remains our preference.

My nutrition-coaching perspective at 48

As a Nutrition Coach and an active woman at 48, I care about habits that help me stay strong and keep enjoying movement as I get older. For me, that starts with varied meals, enough protein, fiber-rich foods and a routine I can sustain. Supplements are an addition to those basics, not a substitute.

Daily Greens fits because it is a daily habit I have kept since 2023, I like Original, and I have noticed the changes in energy and digestion described above. Its vitamin and mineral content is another reason it interests me. For example, vitamin D helps the body absorb calcium and is needed for normal muscle function. That matters to my broader focus on strength and bone health. It does not mean this product is necessary at my age or that it has been shown to improve my bones. [3]

I also look at what it does not provide: Original has just 1 g of fiber and less than 1 g of protein per serving, and 130 mg of calcium. I still rely on food for those needs. More ingredients do not automatically mean more benefit, and combining supplements deserves a check for overlapping doses and medication interactions. [2] [3]

This is my personal approach, not an individualized supplement recommendation. More about my coaching background →

Nutrition & formulation

Huel’s current U.S. Original table lists 25 calories, 5 g carbohydrate, 0 g sugar, 1 g fiber and less than 1 g protein per 8.5 g serving. Vitamin D is listed at 46 mcg, vitamin B12 at 5 mcg and calcium at 130 mg. [2]

Formulas and labels can differ by flavor or market and can change over time. Check your pouch rather than treating my older product photos as the current label. The presence of a blend does not establish a specific health result.
